Note To Colleagues

Higher Together Newsletter

Dear Colleagues,

This year brought tremendous change to our university and world. From online teaching and remote working to social distancing and wearing masks, we’ve created a new way of work at Florida State University. It has not been easy, but it has been successful. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and determination during these uncertain and trying times.

I know there are many questions about the next few months and upcoming semester. We are continuing the gradual return to on-campus work and university leaders are monitoring the data and guidance from trusted health officials to make choices to keep the entire campus community safe. Please continue to stay informed by reading all university updates through e-mail and the Coronavirus Alerts page.

The Human Resources team strives to provide easy access to employee resources and services. The HR website is a valuable tool to identify and utilize our benefits and support systems. Recently, the Office of Human Resources team completely redesigned the HR website. The website now offers an enhanced presentation of HR services with increased transparency and improved accessibility. Please take time to explore the website and learn about your benefits and support systems. As always, if you need help, please ask!

Please remember the role you play in keeping yourself and others healthy and safe. Importantly, if you are sick, do not come to campus.

Please stay safe and thank you for your commitment to Florida State University!

Renisha Gibbs

Associate Vice President for Human Resources
